Ha! Smarty Pants. No, when I was a much younger wife and mom it mattered more. Now that the kids are pretty much out of the house and we’ve been married for 20 yrs it just seems, well, kind of forced and it’s not really something I care about anymore. I have other priorities and IMO florist’s flowers are like wiping your ass with money. I grow flowers I love in the spring and summer (I still have tons of lavender in the spare room in a box),sometimes into fall and I just think it’s a gift that requires no thought. I’d rather have the husband THINK about what he gives me (like the time he got me Fiesta Ware because he heard me wax nostalgic over my grandma’s lost collection). I know he loves me, I don’t need a red and pink explosion of ack delivered to my door.
