So…police need AR-15s to defend themselves against criminals with automatic weapons due to the North Hollywood shooting, but that shooting doesn’t mean we should restrict body armor (or the weapons) used in that shooting?

Given how rarely such a armor is a factor, no. I’m not going say more on that line, I don’t have the time this morning.
