Listening to that interview, the last question was about his personality, and Kasich basically said “people grow”, whatever that is supposed to mean.

He’s probably the least wingnut of all the GOP candidates, which is a pretty low bar for sure. And for that reason he’ll not get the nomination, but I can for sure see Ted or Huck coming to him asking him to be VP. As Kasich and the moderator pointed out, for the next President to be Republican they have to carry Ohio.

I don’t deny any of what you’re saying.

I just go way back with Kasich (friends who went to college with him; he used to be my rep; friends’ parents who used to host all kinds of events for him), and hold him in extremely low regard. He is a snake and an obnoxious one at that.
