It’s funny when a pedant fucks up like that. You said “last man to walk on the moon” - completely correct. Pedant corrects you as if you said “last surviving moonwalker.”
Shouldn’t pedants read more carefully before correcting others?

We had a big discussion yesterday about the word last used by NASA in that notice. It centered around people not wanting to use all the definitions of the word.
