i have no (ahem) dog in this fight so to be a wet blanket, this whole discussion is an explanation of the birth of a child.
it assumes these were in reality, fact and truth, actual specific individual people at all.

Also, this is what I was getting at on the last thread, when I talked about some believers trying to ‘explain’ miracles in non-miraculous ways. It strikes me as silly, because what’s the point of arguing for a non-miraculous explanation? An easier non-miraculous explanation is somebody made it up, as you suggest.

You can believe in the divinity of Jesus without having to buy into the miracles. You can buy into the philosophy of making Earth like the Kingdom of Heaven without believing in the divinity of Jesus.
