He drops dead today — and then what? The GOP will claim that all the malfeasance was on his head and the American public with the attention span of a gnat will pay close attention to whomever gets the GOP nomination — it will be someone (not Pence) who is significantly younger, more energetic, and more knowledgeable than Trump. It would be the perfect scenario for them — he’s gone and they can now claim total innocence.

I’m not really hoping for it. But he looks so unhealthy and is under increasing stress. It seems like a possibility.
