A Quinnipiac poll on the 16th showed the GOP Satan, McTurtle, with a double digit lead over Democrat Amy McGrath.
BUT
Kentucky polling is traditionally highly volatile, which has been the case this year since a similar poll in August had the Loathsome Reptile just 5 points ahead.

AND her campaign manager, Dan Kanninen, indicated Wednesday that McGrath’s team puts more stock in Quinnipiac’s August poll than in its new one.

“This poll assumes only the most reliable voters will turn out and doesn’t capture the enthusiasm of mail-in ballot requests,” Kanninen said of the September poll in a statement. “More than 20% of the mail-in ballot requests so far are from sporadic voters, and there’s been a swell of requests from newly registered voters.

“Sporadic voters,” people who normally don’t bother but who are finally enraged or frightened enough to actually turn out and vote, may well be the difference in this election. Get them out.
