Have been watching the CNN reporting — and have to believe that the remake of “Day After Tomorrow” (you know that they will be doing that!) will focus on flooding rather than a new Ice Age.

But have another question based on my ignorance of climate and weather patterns: Could we in the Midwest be struck by such torrential rains from remnants of a hurricane that took a different path?

Also — will this weather catastrophe overtake Afghanistan as the primary news story?
