Positive game reviews are often deceptive, and sometimes paid for.

I get a better sense of a game by reading negative reviews. Particularly I look to see if their gripes are the same kind of gripes I would have, or if they’re just the kind of gripes a stupid newbie who knows nothing or hardcore gaming would have.
