How would that matter? The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA² for me, ‘ERA’ having another meaning) had a ten year time limit for ratification, a limit long expired. Once that limit was exceeded, the amendment would have to pass both houses of Congress again by a 2/3rds vote.

I have no illusions that it will have a direct result in any legislation. I doubt the creator of the petition does either.

The point is to continue the momentum.
