Sometimes I’m a bit of an optimist, but perhaps a landslide Democratic election will result in the GOP to have a “come to Jesus” moment and they will lay-low on the extremism….at least until 2020. I know, that’s just silly talk…..a guy can hope.

If the predictions right now of Johnson’s take of roughly 5-7% of the popular vote hold through to Election Night, then Hillary’s margin of victory there will be thin enough that the GOP will bury themselves in the “rigged vote” myth. It’s what they did in ‘92, insisting that because of Perot, Bill had not won “legitimately” and thus his presidency did not have the support of the majority of Americans.
