Security experts say Donald Trump’s election as US President warrants another look at Australia’s fuel security and could justify another Defence Force Posture Review.

Australian Strategic Policy Institute expert Andrew Davies said the international security situation had “certainly taken a turn for the worse” after Mr Trump’s election.

“If you look at some of the Trump administration rhetoric about the South China Sea for example, you could easily see them stumbling into a confrontation with China,” Mr Davies said.
