How many times did they look the other way while the collection of bigots and religious fanatics masquerading as a political party moved to make life tougher for poor people and minorities?

One thing you usually discover about “principled” anti-Trump Republicans is that they’ve had no fucking problem endorsing some of the most regressive, radical GOP policies on record.

But since they’ve had their broken clock moment, we’re supposed to give them a hug.

Sorry, folks, I’m not directing this at you, but I’m definitely in a “No gold stars for being anti-Trump Republicans” mood.

I think of it this way: Wilson, Frum, and others are genuine Principled Conservatives, who care more about their country than their party. That, I can respect.

The thing is, their principles are stupid, and the policies they’d enact are bad.
