Just wait until Putin turns on Trump. Trump qua Trump isn’t particularly useful to Putin, so sowing the seeds of discontent among conservatives and creating a situation where Trump has a credible challenger in the GOP primary in 2020 seems like a given, no?

Trump would have to do something Putin doesn’t like. Hard to see what that would be right now.
