That’s pretty big deal. Trump’s biggest ally in the House is Nunes. Nunes has been running interference for Trump since before day 1, and now we’ve got the DOJ demanding Congress investigate their own for potentially interfering in ongoing investigations. Nunes is ultimately responsible for his staff’s actions - and Rosenstein thinks there’s sufficient evidence there for the House to investigate their own.

BFD indeed. IF (and it’s a big “if”!) 1) Rosenstein doesn’t get pressured (perhaps to the point of job-threatening) to back off/soft-pedal/kid-glove his inquiry; 2) Nunes and the HPSCI Republicans don’t just tell Justice to piss off (probably on Executive/Legislative Branch issues); 3) Nunes and his creatures either stonewall (or lie).

And while I’m a long-memoried old geezer veteran observer of politics, DoJ calling for an investigation of a Congressional Committee over a DoJ investigation is something new to me… any precedents??
