That’s odd. Reed isn’t known to be a moderate from what I know. Not Freedumb Caucus. Anyhow. I think Pelosi will get enough to rally around her and this stuff by the Ryans, Moultons, etc will cool down. I think what a good compromise would be to have Nancy be speaker until 2020 and then you do a new start of leadership with hopefully a new Dem President and majorities in both houses.

Or… howzabout Speaker Nancy hold a series of seminars and training camps for NextGen members so they’ll be ready. Didn’t we used to judge leaders at least partly by how well they identify the talented and mentor what should be their successors?

The problem with the old boys club wasn’t that it facilitated some people’s rise; it was that they needed to broaden their criteria for who gets entry-level admission to their tutorials.
