Here he is, leader of the most powerful nation on the planet, and he’s getting every bit of the disrespect that the Old Money crowd gave him back in NYC. It has gotta be eating him up inside something fierce.

Because they know, like the Old Money in NYC, that Trump is an empty suit, and an ill-fitted suit at that. He will never get the kind of respect he wants, because he does nothing to deserve that respect. At best, he might command some fear from those around him, but the rich and the powerful cannot be swayed so easily.
