Not only was the comment racist, but it is also blatantly wrong. In fact, the opposite is true. President Obama is a typical, run of the mill, limosine liberal. He follows in the tradition of Rockefeller, Kennedy, Edwards, and Kerry. He comes straight from the do as I say, and not as I do school of governance. Those wonderful elites with real wealth behind them telling us to hate high income earners. Making us believe that we need to tax rich people, knowing that in the U.S., wealth is not taxed, but income is.

By the way, I believe that three Presidents during my life time did grow up in low income households. They were Nixon, Ford, and Reagan. I am certain that the able bodied fact checkers on LGF will be able to verify, or disprove.

Clinton was raised lower middle class, and Obama was raised by a single mom and grandparents in a decidedly middle class home.
The presidents you mention above were also solidly middle class.
In fact, it’s kind of the other way around, the only two rich from birth presidents were Kennedy and Bush.
Of all the recent presidents, Clinton would be the only one considered from a low income household, though I pretty sure Nixon was pretty blue collar, I seem to remember that he was not raised poor, as in poverty.
