Probably. And Tito managed to keep the lid on that particular pot for a period of time. Though not necessarily via the best of methods. The Balkans have been a political mess and international football for centuries in any case. One reason it’s a religious and ethnic mish-mash is due to being the obvious route between Asia Minor and Central Europe.
