I know exactly what it was like then. At one point Alief had the most murders per capita in the U.S. I went to Kempner…moved when I was 15…but we were in Mission Bend, which pulled half to Alief, half to Fort Bend. Not much better.

When I was there was when the Asian gangs were moving in and pushing the black community out. It was ugly.

I was there during that time. Lived in Westheimer/Dairy Ashford area. Lot of kick in the door and start shooting shit going on.
