It is racist to walk up to an individual person and assume they have certain political views because of their skin color, which is why I didn’t walk up to blacks at my job and talk about how great Obama was. It’s not racist to bemoan the fact that part of said group has those views.

To flip it around, I would never assume a particular gay man supports blacks, but it’s seriously sad to see racist gays.
