It seems to fairly common on the Right: I saw this yesterday while reading Rod Dreher’s transphobic gibberish: he spared a stock gripe about the New York Times’ “1619 Project”, bitching that it posited “America as a slaveocracy” - a concept he seemed to be quite offended by…..
