What they think they understand is epidemiology, in the process totally ignoring the SK jumped on the viral outbreak early and tested the fuck out of its native population to find and isolate potential carriers before they could spread the virus too far. All they’re seeing is the numbers and the (current) mortality rate and making an assumption that this is evidence of the virus’ true mortality rate rather than evidence of how a serious gov’t response started early in an outbreak can protect the overall population.
