The current Newsweek story being heralded on Twitter may well be accurate, but I cannot imagine trusting that publication as a source for ANYTHING at this point.

Seriously, it’s not the same magazine that used to sit next to your father’s toilet.

I was thinking that myself. To make things even more murky, my understanding is that Newsweek has a quasi-right wing lurch these days.

When I heard Newsweek broke the story, I started gaming out scenarios in which the Newsweek editorial board is actually trying to help Trump by outing a spy in his midst.

It’s moments like that where you start thinking “So that’s how a MAGAt thinks. Everything’s a conspiracy.”
