I saw someone in the Twitter replies somewhere going WHARRGARBL OTHER STATES SHOULD JUST VOLUNTARILY OFFER TO HELP TEXAS AND OTHER BORDER STATES WITH THEIR IMMIGRANT PROBLEM and I’m over here like, why? That’s not how our federal system works. You don’t just sit there and whine and hope somebody takes pity on you and does something (and besides; do you really see Greg “if I could shoot the liberals in my state, I would” Abbott accepting help from the likes of New York or Massachusetts voluntarily?). If it’s as big of an emergency as you claim, you ask Washington for help, and they in turn will ask other states to provide help, if it is needed.

Ask them what part of “united states” they don’t understand.
