If the police had done their goddamn jobs from the start, Farrakhan and Sharpton would have a lot less to say right now. The fact that the cops so thoroughly fucked things up from the beginning is what is driving the very real outrage now.

I will extend to Farrakhan and Sharpton the consideration that I think they’d prefer to have no reason or opportunity to say anything at all about black teenagers being shot by the Neighborhood Watch Posse.
