Nothing illegal about getting out of your vehicle and confronting someone, especially if they respond by kicking your ass. I won’t argue that he was right in getting out of his truck, but if Trayvon really did throw the first punch and was beating him black and blue, then the law stipulates that Zimmerman opening fire was in self-defense.

Nobody is saying it’s illegal to get out of your car in this situation. Rather that it should be illegal to get out of your car with a loaded weapon to follow someone you haven’t even seen commit a crime.

Huge difference.
