Wow! Hell of a storm here in Lubbock tonight, starting with high winds, then dust, and an incredible electrical storm. Gusts to 84 mph, steady at 60. A motel has collapsed on the Interstate and there are a number of injuries. Power is out, I’m on emergency power (my inverter connected to our diesel work truck). No damage here at my house but a lot of debris, leaves, shingles, etc. blowing around.
The wind was unbelievable, strongest I have seen since I was in a typhoon in Japan many years ago.
