So I read this a.m. that the Repubs have actually drawn up something that almost looks like a healthcare reform bill, to replace Obamacare should Congress or the SCOTUS gut it.

Only five years too late. But it would end the individual and employer mandates. It would end most regulations of private insurance although it would create an open enrollment period for the uninsured who could only then qualify for insurance regardless of pre-existing conditions. But their bill would not include the ACA’s ban against insurance companies restricting policies to only those without pre-existing conditions. The GOP bill would end Medicaid expansion.

So who or what does the GOP bill actually cover?

Who knows.

Their bill would also begin the process of subjecting a person’s healthcare insurance benefits to income taxation. The NEW TAXES would kick in at certain thresholds. If a Democrat had recommended this it would be labeled as THE BIGGEST MOST TYRANNY TAX INCREASES EVER FOR ALL TIME!!!!!!11
