Greetings from Bruges. It’s been a crazy past few weeks here for me but I see the home front is even more so. I’ve been thinking about authoritarianism from the minute I saw the remains of the Berghof a few weeks ago to learning about the impact of Nazism in the Netherlands. We told ourselves it wouldn’t happen here because well we defeated the Nazis and we did and we also had returning black servicemen lynched.
