I swear these “constitutional conservatives” seem completely ignorant of what happened the last time we had a constitutional convention. That one, in 1787, was only supposed to amend the Articles of Confederation. Instead, it gave us an entirely new constitutional system.

A new constitutional convention would mean an entirely new constitution, not just a handful of Amendments. And unlike 1789, I highly doubt that every state would vote to ratify. It’s a recipe for the dissolution of the Union.
