I just had a realization: For some white people, the only source of pride they have is in what they believe to be their inherent superiority to non-white people.

They can’t otherwise find a purpose in or contribute to society, but they would never accept being on the bottom rung of the ladder so to them, the poorest white man is a more desirable friend and ally than the most successful black man and as long as whites are “superior” they by default have someone beneath them on the societal totem pole.

Even if they’re white trash losers.
