Life ruined over a couple words; That’s nasty.

Sadly, the judicial system is mostly politics. Judicial careers are kept through playing politics. There is little logic or reason and plenty of personal emotions at play. Judges aren’t mostly about law but getting re-elected. Tough on crime and all that sorts of talk.
