I don’t remember the (polio vax) sugar cube, though I must have had it. I remember smallpox vaccination and at least one booster—they scratched you with what looked like a broken needle. No big deal.

The one I hated was the tuberculin skin test where they took what looked like a toothpaste cap with three or four needles sticking out of it and jabbed you with it.

Ouch! My kids had those tuberculin tests, along with the sugar cube,
