Oh, Zell Miller… two speeches in 2004 sort of kick started my shift leftwards. One was Obama’s speech at the Democratic Convention - full of hope, optimism, and the things that make America great. The other was Miller’s speech at the Republican Convention - fire, brimstone, and anger, you know, those things that make us less than great.
