Pence won’t be able to get any legislation passed if the Democrats win control of either House of Congress (a necessary precursor, I think, to impeaching Trump). And the people Trump has put in charge of deconstructing the executive branch like Pruitt and Mulvaney certainly know what they are doing, even if Trump doesn’t.

That was the point of the Nixon impeachment bills. Initially, the Democrats did not have momentum or a majority in either house. The point was to highlight the alleged criminal activity and abuse of power even before Watergate.

The GOP got on board precisely when they suffered a bloodbath in special elections (including Ford’s safe Republican seat flipping to the Democrats). That bloodbath is happening now in special elections.

For those who aren’t part of the nihilist caucus in the GOP and just want to strip the country for parts and leave it on cinder blocks, they will come around.

You don’t need a majority of the GOP to press for impeachments, just enough to pass it.

This is looking amazingly like Watergate in the way it’s playing out, the difference being the break in of the DNC was done in real life in 1972, and over the Internet this time round.
