Hi Turn..Back in the 80’s..I saw the greatest drummer of all time in Berkeley..
Billy Cobham..If I recall the jazz fusion combo it was Jon Scofield on guitar, Alfonso Johnson on Bass and the keyboard player from Zappa..
The night started out with this cool note from Bach and it just kept getting louder and louder and was shaking the house…ear spitting chord growing in loudness.
Then it stopped and they broke into the meanest funkiest guitar licks I have ever heard….we were high fiveing each other and it was the best start of a concert in all time…
During an extended guitar solo We could see Billy on the side stage doing push ups..We were screaming that dude is a monster!
