I agree that the headline sucks, but the response to his act of bravery has been great. Last time I looked (last night) a gofundme account had already raised $28,000 for him and heād been offered several jobs as well as a suit for job interviews and other stuff.
From the interviews Iāve seen, he sounds like a great guy and a perfect example of how rehabilitation can work in prison.
I have to disagree with the last part. His ārehabilitationā was internalā¦ It came from hearing his sonās first cries. To me thatās internal (inherent) to the man himself. We donāt know what he did (he could have been in jail for anything from unpaid parking tickets to murderā¦but Iām betting itās more towards the former than the latter), but I doubt prison in and if itself had anything to do with his ārehabilitationā.
