I agree. In order to make a deal, Trump’s replacement has to be a Republican, preferably someone with no further political ambitions. Too bad the Republicans went so Trump-crazy. They could have had a caretaker Weld for a few months while other Republicans ran for Trump’s spot. A caretaker President keeps the lights on while the party rebuilds and recruits.

Pence would also carry on tRumps agenda of vetoing anything that managed to cross his desk that didn’t fit the Republican agenda. Not that anything of import would. McTurtle would see to that.
