I can’t help but wonder what those folks reaction is going to be. I’m thinking of some of those evangelical megachurches. And if there’s anyone set up to do livestreaming of their services, it’d be them. They have access to a wide range of IT infrastructure.

There was a NYT (I think) anti-Cletus safari article a couple of weeks ago about a fundie couple in Louisiana. COVID was all fake news, exaggerations, until one of their own (the hubbie) ended up in the hospital on a ventilator. Then a bunch of them came around in a big hurry.

Yes, I think most of the megachurches have top of the line remote AV capabilities, but that gets back to your point about signalling and us vs them. If you cancel in-person services, then you’re siding with Them. Can’t have that.
