Nobody is saying it’s illegal to get out of your car in this situation. Rather that it should be illegal to get out of your car with a loaded weapon to follow someone you haven’t even seen commit a crime.

Not really. Unless it can be shown he was brandishing his gun or indicated that he was armed to Martin in an effort to force him to comply, then the fact that he was armed is irrelevant.
