40+ years of openly appealing to the ignorant, the bigots, and the raving mouth-breathers will do that to a party.

Dems can always fall back on Hilary and I’m sure they can dig up another viable candidate or two. I don’t think anyone from the last GOP primary circus will return to try again. They’re going to need a whole new field.
