The GOP really has outed themselves as the scum of the earth during Obama’s presidency.

GOP apologists tend to go very quiet when confronted with this pattern of behavior. The fact that conservatives have been against every bit of forward progress in the US for its entire history cannot be spun away.

This is at the core of why I’m a liberal and not a conservative. The strides we have made and continued to make have been in spite of conservatism and conservatives. Revolutionary War era conservatives were content to stay with England. During the Civil War, they were willing to accept slavery staying legal, etc, etc. To me to be a liberal is to see that we have better days ahead while a conservative accepts the status quo because it’s all he knows.
