Speaking of which, the Super-Hero genre is well played out by now, I think, creatively if not in box office.

I wonder though why no one has made a feature length large screen production about Super Hero Jesus.

Nearly all films of old, and contemporary TV, work hard to have Gospel-based productions that seem like real history. All the way to methods of dress, foods characters eat, Roman soldiers in proper uniforms, etc.

But that leaves out the good parts of the Gospels. Jesus flying in the air (Superman) with Satan… or clearing out the entire Temple square of a couple hundred thousand square feet filled with hundreds or thousands of people (some Incredible Hulk type of action here)… or making a tree wither on command (super-psychic like Jean Grey).

Lots of good superhero stuff that could be put on screen. And much more in-tune with the actual content of the Gospels, rather than the previous Hollywood attempts at making Jesus just a Jewish guy.
