Things can turn around. I was really worried about my cat, Killer, who’s also 17. He’d been kind of doddering and slowing down for a while and then in the middle of January, he just stopped eating and would hide away somewhere (instead of having to be lying on me all the time like usual). He finally started coming out and eating a bite and getting a little water, but I thought we were going to lose him for sure. After a long time he started perking up, though, and now he’s back to normal, although it took him a week or so to remember how he used to behave. Do cats have strokes?
