Sure, and a lot of tea partiers are young too. But there’s an overarching socio-demographic trend which puts the core of the tea party on the losing end numerically. Things are slowly changing for the better. It may take a while, but we really don’t have to worry about angry white reactionary know-nothing populists determining the course of America indefinitely. For now though, it’s totally a fucked up movement.
