This is also where the domestic press has really let the American public down. The Democrats and Obama already compromised, they simply accepting the House Republican budget numbers as is. They didn’t bother fighting at all to restore any of the sequester funding, which they desperately want to do. They know the Tea Party has the Republicans by the balls and this was a major concession to that reality.

In exchange for that major concession the House Republicans decided to act like a terrorists and take the economy hostage, demonstrating why no Republican should ever be trusted ever again. The party needs to die so something sane can take its place.

Agreed, the domestic press has been exceedingly lax in addressing the reality of this situation, which is that Republicans essentially are saying that Democrats have to agree to allow the chipping away at the ACA to keep the government funded. That it is somehow a “concession” to Democrats to agree to fund the government.
