I’m sure it avoids conflicts if there’s more than one cat. I prefer to have two around, but my current cat was screwed up by another of my cats to the point where she hates other cats, so now she’ll be my only cat for some time to come.

We also have three cats - our oldest, Trixie (immortalized in the LGF Image Library), plus a pair of brother and sister kittens we adopted back in October. The smallest kitten lives in fear of our dog, and her safe space is our upstairs bathroom - so there’s gotta be one in there.

The one on the main floor gets the most use, by Trixie and Bean the boy kitten (who has made fast friends with the dog).
