re: #165 teleskiguy
The transition (the end of the jump to the much steeper landing, the flat part to the right of me) was at least a hundred feet. I remember watching Matchstick Productions do their film segment, they had to tow skiers into the jump with snowmobiles going 60 m.p.h.
There are a few daring sports I genuinely don’t get. Snowmobiles running open water is one. Ski jumping is another. I have a hard enough just going down the bunny hill without dying.
