Visitors to an artists website overlap with fans/customers but to assume demographic makeup is the same is risky at best. What if 13-17y olds stick with facebook and youtube for their information? Not an unlikely assumption all. You really can’t just take site visitor demographics and extrapolate to customer base, not to a useful extent anyway.

Tayloer Swift is an industry, not just a pop star for young girls.

Think of her as another Gwyneth Paltrow or Oprah Winfrey, women that have monetized their original popularity into businesses with followings that go beyond their initial success and listen to their advice and guidance.

She carries a lot more listeners than just what her music brings her. And with that comes power.

That is why the Republicans and their talking heads will try to make this seem like it’s about little girls that can’t vote. Huckabee knows that, it is why he is getting out ahead of it.
